Pediatric cardiologists from The Children’s Heart Clinic are available for appointments every Wednesday at Innovis Health, because we’re dedicated to taking care of the those that you hold closest to your heart.

Rodrigo Rios, MD, FACC, FAAP
Cardiovascular Disease

Dr. Rios has been with the Children’s Heart Clinic since May 2008. Prior to joining the Children's Heart Clinic, Dr. Rios built a strong reputation practicing pediatric cardiology for more than 15 years in Fargo, North Dakota. He received his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Tulane University Medical Center, New Orleans. Dr. Rios is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a subspecialty in Pediatric Cardiology and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. His clinical interests include interventional cardiology, peri-operative care, and fetal echocardiography.

Charles Baker, MD, FACC, FAAP
Pediatric Cardiology

Dr. Baker is the Medical Director of Cardiology Services at Children's Hospitals and Clinics. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology and Interventional Catheterization at Children's Hospital Boston/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Baker is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a subspecialty in Pediatric Cardiology and is a member of the American College of Cardiology - Congenital Heart Disease and Pediatric Cardiology Section. His clinical interests include transcatheter diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, and cardiac intensive care.

David Burton, MD
Pediatric Electrophysiology
Pediatric Cardiology

Dr. Burton joined the Children's Heart Clinic in 1991. He received his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine - Tel Aviv University and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Burton is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a subspecialty in Pediatric Cardiology and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, American College of Cardiology, and Pediatric & Adult Congenital Electrophysiology Society (PACES). His clinical interests include electrophysiology, arrhythmias, pacemakers, defibrillators and catheter ablation of arrhythmias.

David Gremmels, MD
Pediatric Cardiology

Dr. Gremmels serves as Director of Echocardiography at Children's Hospitals and Clinics. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago - Pritzker School of Medicine and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at University of California San Francisco Medical Center. Dr. Gremmels is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a subspecialty in Pediatric Cardiology and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. His clinical interests include echocardiography, fetal echocardiography and cardiac intensive care.

Questions and Concerns

The Children’s Heart Clinic will be sure to take care of any questions or concerns you may have regarding follow-up care for your child(ren). To contact a pediatric cardiologist, please call their nurse at 800.938.0301.

Billing Questions

For professional services provided by the physician, you will receive a statement from the Children’s Heart Clinic. You will also receive a statement from Innovis Health for services that we provide to your child which may include EKG, ECHO, Lab or other radiology services.

Depending on the services your child may need, you may receive two separate billing statements for the same visit. Please feel free to contact either Business Office with questions you may have regarding your statements. You may contact Innovis Health at 701-364-3484 or the CHC at 800-938-0301.
